56 games in one app,
and not one of them can go online.
Simple, calm mini-games for little hands. No ads, no sign-ups, nothing to buy and it all works with the Wi-Fi off. Perfect for car rides, waiting rooms and quiet time.
Coming soon to Google Play and the App Store. It will be free there too.

Most free games for children are not free.
They are paid for with advertising, with things a child can buy by tapping, or with what the app learns about the child. Zibbly is paid for by us, so none of that is in it. What follows is not a list of settings you turn on. Every one of them is built into the app, and a build that breaks one is stopped before it can be released.

56 games, grouped by what a child is doing
The picker walks down this order: the ones you play round a table first, then looking, counting, puzzles, the quick ones, and last the five that ask nothing of anybody.
Round a table 9
Looking and matching 10
Shapes, colours and sizes 6
Numbers 8
The world outside 3
Remembering 4
Puzzles 5
Quick fingers 6
Nothing to win 5
Nine of the games seat a whole table.
Tic Tac Toe, Drop Four, Ladder Race and six more ask how many of you there are, then deal the seats. Each child gets their own face and their own colour, so a child who cannot tell red from green still knows whose turn it is, and player two is the same pink face in every game.
Play alone and the phone takes the other seat. It plays to be beaten by a four year old rather than to win: it will take a winning move it can see, and it will miss a block often enough that the game stays worth playing.
Every other game seats one child, and that is on purpose too: a queue of questions has nowhere to hand the phone over, and neither has a race against a clock.
There is one way out of the app, and a child cannot take it.
Nothing in Zibbly opens a browser, a store page, a video or a chat. The single exception is the Request a Game button in Settings, which opens WhatsApp so you can tell us what your child would like to play next.
That button sits behind a sum a grown up has to read and type in. It is not four buttons to guess between, and the answer changes every time.
Zibbly is built to the rules of Google Play's Designed for Families programme and Apple's Kids Category, and it is rated for ages four and up on both.
